A selection of the most famous and venerated Buddha statues and my favorite Asia girls. This looks like a contradiction, but it is not. In the Hindu mythology there is the Shiva - Shakti principle. Shiva, the meditative unmoving male, still energy, symbolized by Shiva meditating for 1000 of years on Mount Kailash and Shakti, the dance of live, the feminine principle, which brings everything into movement. I have made a DVD production about this, called 'the Cosmic Dance of Shiva' .
Shiva-Shakti
On my journey to the ancient Khmer site of Champasak in Laos I had a strong Shiva-Shakti experience. First I met Shakti, as you can see from the picture, she has really this Shakti energy, she is a Khmer and her name is King. Coming to this ancient mystical Khmer site, suddenly from nowhere this monk appeared, made a fire and almost disappeared into it, as you can see in this picture. Shiva is the destroyer (of ignorance) and is strongly represented in Varanasi, India on the burning ghats. And this was the same kind of experience.
I am really happy to see that my Buddha statues and especially my Myanmar (Burmese) girls belong both to the most visited pages of my websites. These girls and women of Myanmar reflect so beautifully the Buddha energy. And to see that in this crazy world, so geared on superficial material values, that so many people are in tune with the real thing, is great!
