All the pictures
on this website have been taken with the compact light
weighted Ultra zoom photo cameras from Olympus and
Panasonic. To be more specific the Olympus C700UZ and
SP-550UZ and the Panasonic FZ-3.
The long zoom
range like between 28 and 504 mm, from wide-angle to a strong tele, makes it possible, together with the inbuilt
stabilizer to take pictures, which are difficult to make
with any other camera (also with an expensive DSLR). I have
used both types extensively. |
In July
2009 I bought a new camera the Olympus SP-590,
after studying MANY tests of ALL the long zoom cameras. Also downloading
many test pictures and comparing them. As a comparison I downloaded also
the pictures of expensive DSLR cameras.
I have
taken now a thousand pictures under many different circumstances and
using all of the MANY possibilities and I can only say that I am very
happy with this camera.
Some
basic info: Olympus SP-590UZ is a

megapixels ultrazoom digital camera features
26x Optical Zoom (26
– 676mm equivalent in 35mm photography), ISO 64-3200, Dual Image
Stabilization, Face Detection, burst rate of up to
10 fps (3MP), Smile Shot, Supports HDTV, Beauty Mode, two
automatic panorama modes, MANY automatic or manual modes, movies and a
2.7″ (6.9cm) HyperCrystalTM II LCD screen. The camera measures 4.3″W x
3.5″H x 3.9″D (110mm x 89mm x 98mm) and weighs 15.3oz (435g).
It is
really amazing so many possibilities in such a light and relatively
small camera, which fits easily in my money belt. For me the perfect
travel camera. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
