South Laos, land of the mighty Mekong River, with its 4000 islands.

A very peaceful part of this world, like belonging to some prior time.

Close to the border with Cambodia there are many impressive rapids.

Champasak

8 km SE of Champasak lies the old Khmer site from the 6th century, Wat Phu Champasak, much older than Angkor.

A very special sacred site and the source of the magnificent Khmer empire.
It lies at the foot of a mountain with at the top a natural Shiva Linga and it is blessed by a sacred spring.
This place has been a sacred site since very ancient times.

A visit to this place is a deep experience, the sensitive ones will surely feel the energy.
I hope I can express some of my own experience with these pictures.
