Pictures of Vietnam: Vietnam's top photo site
Thousand high quality digital pictures, photos of Vietnam with a short description and maps of the highlights and interesting destinations.
About the pictures of VietnamTo give you the best possible impression of Vietnam, I have used a combination of the most advanced digital camera to date (with 50x zoom) and the most advanced digital photo enhancing software. This has resulted in series of unique photos of Vietnam. These pictures are carefully arranged in a kind of slideshows. In this way the photos together will give you the feeling of a virtual journey through Vietnam.
Highlights of VietnamThe socialist republic of Vietnam is a 1600km long, from north to south, mountainous country in South East Asia. With a population of over 85 million, Vietnam is the 13th most populous country in the world.
South Vietnam is a region with a hot, tropical climate, consisting of the Mekong delta to the south and mountainous regions to the north. Near the Mekong delta lies Saigon, officially known as Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC), the largest city of Vietnam with over 6 million inhabitants and 3 million motorbikes! 80km to the northwest of Saigon is the town of Tay Ninh, the centre of the Cao Dai religion. Great places to escape the heat, noise and pollution of Saigon are Dalat, the city of eternal spring and the beaches of Mui Ne and Nha Trang.
The tourist highlights in north Vietnam are Hanoi with its colonial heritage, temples and historic sights, Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site with stunning karst scenery of islets and rocks, and the highlands to the west with their rich ethnic heritage.
There is also a selection of pictures of girls and women in Vietnam.
Travel / hotels in VietnamIt is very easy and cheap to travel
with the open bus tour ticket from Saigon to Hanoi for only 18 dollar (12 Euro).
This bus brings you mostly from hotel to hotel. I went with the good Hanh
café open tour.
ClimateBecause the large distance between South and North Vietnam, the climate is diverse and it is almost impossible to find a time where the weather is good everywhere. So if it is fine in the South, it will be too cold, clouded and rainy in the North, or if it is fine in the North it will be too hot in the South.
