Most people, coming for the first time to Thailand, having only 2 to 3 weeks to stay, will start in Bangkok, then go by (night) train to Chiang Mai (some make a stopover at Ayuthaya). Afterwards some prefer to fly to famous beaches of Phuket, Ko Samui or Krabi, others go by train and bus. The closest popular beach destination from Bangkok is Hua Hin, about 4 hours by train or bus. In a way this site is a kind of adventurous virtual journey, so you may arrive at unexpected places. You can return home HOME anytime.
